  The following commercial flies are flies I recommend for carp. This list is not exhaustive, but the thing about fishing for carp is you should spend more time worrying about your presentation than your fly. Carp are not selective feeders. People who fish for trout a lot like to think that carp are selective, but that is just an erroneous transfer of experience.

Purchase these flies or tie similiar flies in about a size 6 or 8. Stay away from very flashy flies. Avoid flies that are so heavily weighted that they splash the surface of the water.
